May

We spent most of this month here in Texas manning the pantry.  We served 19 national pastors and missionaries plus others as well.  We made a couple of trips to Mexico to deliver materials and a short one to North Carolina to drop off two pallets at Anchor Baptist and pick up 4 more pallets containing more vitamins, meds, clothes and house paint.  PTL.  The trip to NC was so short I only had time to repair a bush hog and transport a camper trailer that Brother Billy Newton donated.  The bush hog had three different problems that were solved as each one became apparent to me.  We sure appreciate the folks with the four wheel drive truck that got the camper trailer down off of the mountain for us.  My F-150 would never have been able to do that, but it got us back to Bryson City, white knuckles and all.

Brother Miles Wallis and his dad brought us several pallets of literature most of which is already in Mexico at this writing.  Scottie and family along with Johnny Jenkins and other church members worked diligently removing water damaged carpet and the platform in a small mountain church.  They spent two days cleaning up before the decoration services.

When we returned to Texas, the post office had delivered 16 or 17 boxes full of awesome donations from the ladies group in Nebraska and Phoenix Arizona.  Dawn happily sorted them onto the shelves in the mission pantry.  The pastor's and missionary's wives and children's eyes popped out when they filled their needs with these items.  Dawn's birthday present, flowering plumeria trees, have grown past our expectations crowding the front porch.  The wonderful fragrance permeates the air with sweetness.  The front of our trailer looks like a jungle.

A short yellow loveseat with a pullout bed came in the load that the Lails brought from NC.  It blessed my heart when I first laid eyes upon it.  It was the perfect answer that we had been praying for to replace a similar worn one for our friends.  We also delivered a couple of chairs, food, and other items for Brother Ishmael, Sister Christy, and family in Monterrey, Mexico.  An electric plastic John Deere gator came in from the Saenz family.  I immediately had a pastor's small son in mind to receive it.  I charged the battery in the van on the 50 mile trip to the church in Miguel Aleman.  We unloaded the gator and the boy happily pushed it all over the church yard.  I asked him to help me hold the car on its end while I installed the battery.  When we set it down and I showed him the footswitch and the forward and back lever, his little face lit up with pure joy.  Brother Marco Turriza picked out a table, chairs, two dressers, one mirror, blankets and other items.  After his son saw his sister's beautiful dresser, Brother Marco came back and got him a matching one, a nightstand, queen bed frame and more.  Sister Jane also picked up a dresser with a mirror.  It brings real joy to our hearts to see these items go out the door making space for our Lord to fill.  It is impossible to out give God.  Thanks so much for the help you all.

Faithfully yours,

Teddy, Dawn, and Scottie
